Mindfulness Yoga teacher and Cattitude owner Laura Neal (Rev. Bonyon) is a Zen Buddhist Priest in the lineage of Korean Master Seung Sahn. Completely unaware of the life transforming path yoga would lead her to travel, Laura took her first class from Roseanna Rich in 1997 to recover from the effects of back surgery. She found the alignment-focused Iyengar system a natural compliment to her background in anatomy and physiology as a personal fitness trainer. In 2007, Laura furthered her training under Frank Jude Boccio and began integrating yoga asana with mindfulness meditation. She is now in her third year in the Prajna Institute for Buddhist Studies and engaged in kong-an practice with Rev. Myogak James Foster, her Dharma teacher. She also serves as Abbot of the True Nature Zen Center, based out of the Cattitude studios.

Laura teaches meditation at Cattitude, is certified in Thai Yoga Massage through the Lotus Palm School in Montreal and teaches Applied Yoga Philosophy at College of the Atlantic. She lives in Bar Harbor with her awesome husband and Vice-President of Cattitude, Kyle Duckworth. And she really, really likes cats.
