Jennifer Munyer
- "Peace is an inward evolution of consciousness manifested externally." Freestyle vinyasa flow yoga is a beautiful practice that has the potential to guide its practitioner into deeper understandings of "Self" and the divine connection that self has to everything in the material world. Jen comes to Cattitude from Gainesville, Florida where her pratice of yoga began. Her pratice has been inspired by several amazing teacers she has had the privledge of working with at both the studio she owned in Florida, Silver Lotus, and here at Cattitude. More recently, she has looked to Seane Corn and Schuyler from The Kula Project in NYC to assist her in deepening her understanding of moving meditation and manifesting intention through vinyasa flow. Her love of anatomy and alignment is expanding with the guidance of Laura Neal, the Iyengar trained owner of Cattitude, and with the inspiration of Anusara Yoga. Jen has had the privledge of experiencing Anusara through amazing classes lead by Lena Koob-Emunds and has had the opportunity to work with John Friend and Deserie Rumbaugh at yoga conferences. Applying the wisdom of yoga off the mat into her daily life, Jen offers other avenues of realizing the Self through mindful, intuitive massage, utilizing connective/deep tissue, swedish and energetic techniques. Taking teaching off the mat and into academia, Jen has lead group and independent studies at College of the Atlantic and in January 2007 will be teaching Applied Yoga Philosophy at the same academic institution. |
